In order to promote academic exchanges, create a good academic atmosphere and improve SEC academy standard, School of Economics and Commerce launched academic lunch salons. More than 30 faculties from different departments took part in the academic lunch salons. The salons had two phases. The first one was held in September 26 and the second in November 15.
In the first salon, which was held in Room 103, B10 south wing, Professor SUN Xifang was invited as the speaker. She shared her sparkling ideas in her research paper “Technology and Firm Size”. In the second one, Professor LIN Feng hosted the salon and delivering his logical thinking in his research paper “Local governments behavior and China's trade balance”. Participants discussed ardently in salon, proposing different ideas and perspectives on academic issues. They all thought that the salon provided a perfect chance for them to exchange with colleges in SEC and helped to inducing innovative thinking. (Translated and Edited by HUANG Xiaoting)
