On June 23, School of Economics and Commerce and Suning Corporation launched the signing ceremony of building creative talents training base and unveiled Suning campus elite club in administrative building B2 of Higher Education Mega Campus, South China University of Technology.
Both sides come to an agreement on building creative talents training base, constructing practice training base, university-industry collaboration, and setting up Suning campus elite club. Guangzhou Suning Corporation vice president Meiya Shi, CHO Xiaofei Li, Professor WU Yechun, assistant to the president of SCUT, Professor Wang Renzeng, the executive dean of SEC, along with more than 200 teachers and students took part in signing ceremony.
On the signing ceremony, Professor Wu pointed out that Sunning Corporation was the forerunner of industry transformation and upgrading, welcomes the opportunity and challenge of the integration of Internet and retailing with braveness and intelligence, and became the benchmark of traditional retail enterprise transformation of Internet marketing. He also hoped that both sides could take this opportunity, communicate actively, seek practical results, enhance our students' entrepreneurial innovation, and provide strong guidance and support to each other. The vice president Meiya Shi introduced Suning’s history of development and tradition on the interaction of cooperation with colleges and universities, emphasized Suning’s focus on social public welfare, whished the new Suning campus elite club could grow up with the students at School of Economics and Commerce. The student delegate Dong Rui introduced the new Suning campus elite club, and welcomed students to join in the new Suning campus elite club.
In the final phase, both sides signed the agreement on Innovation Talents Training Base and unveiled the base, which would be a win-win strategy. Under the wave of “Internet +”, it was important to strengthen cooperation, seize the opportunity of business model innovation and training creative talents model innovation, promote both sides’ innovation elements fusion, and promote students' employment.
