Supported by Guangdong supervision committee of undergraduate tourism management major and SCUT development center for teachers and teaching and organized by The School of Economics and Commerce, 1st college exhibition practice skills training class for teachers was held from Jul. 28 to 31 in university town campus. The class aimed to promote teachers’ professional practice skills and enhanced the overall strength and improve the level of aggregation in exhibition management discipline.
Professor Jiang Jinbo hosted the opening ceremony of the training class. Heads of initiatives department of Guangzhou Business Committee, China import and export fair, Guangzhou Baiyun international center, SEC, teaching department of SCUT and Guangzhou Jinhua exhibition Corp. attended the ceremony.
Zhao Min, secretary of the CPC SEC committee, pointed out that three characteristics had been embodied in the class: first, the training class invited senior manager in exhibition fields and management elites as lecturers. Second, the training class aimed to forge a learning and exchange platform for teachers and enterprises, providing a precious chance for them to communicate deeply. Third, the content of the class was rich and various, combing with theory introduction, case-based teaching and field sessions. He summarized that the class was a beneficial attempt to integrate teachers and manager in exhibition field together to exchange and cooperate.
