April 4th of 2015, Larry Galehouse, the director of American NCPP (National Center Of Pavement Preservation) gave a lecture at SCET.
In the lecture, Mr. Galehouse gave two speeches on the topics of Decision Making for Pavement Maintenance &Pavement Preservation Programs and Process of Designing a Long-Term Pavement Preservation Plan, respectively. The speeches refered to the latest achievements in the field of pavement maintenance such as the concept and measure of pavement manage assets, the method of designing a pavement preservation project, new techniques on the pavement Preventive maintenance, etc.
The vivid presentation made by Mr. Galehouse attracted and inspired the audiences. Therefore, the audiences took an active interest and discussed with Mr.Galehouse. Mr.Galehouse patiently answered the questions and won consistent high praise from the audiences.
And besides, Professor Wang Duan-yi gave a lecture on the topic of ”A new technique of asphalt Pavement Preventive Maintenance- Experimental Evaluation and Study on Pavement Performance of Infiltrating and Solidifying Seal”, which revealed the latest achievement in the field of pavement maintenance made by his research group.
Specialists in the field of pavement maintenance from Guangdong Highway and Transportation Society，Guangdong highway Bureau，Guangzhou Municipal Engineering Repair Department、Guangdong Hualu Transport Technology Co.,Ltd were presented.

Larry Galehouse, director of American National Center Of Pavement Preservation (NCPP), the chairman of TRB Pavement Maintenance Committee-AHD20, member of the Federal Highway Adminstration, also worked on the original Lead States Team for Pavement Preservation designed by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO)
