On July 18th to 22th , students of 2015 civil excellent class of the Department of Civil Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Pan Jianrong and Yu Xianfeng, went to the enterprises of Shenzhen and Guangzhou for social practice and engineering experience.
Students went to Shenzhen Pengcheng Construction Group Co., Ltd.. In the first day, Manager Li introduced the students the company development and industrial information. Then, the students visited the company's experimental test center. In the next three days, the students were divided into five groups, and they went to the construction sites of the projects of being under construction, including Antuo Hill, Central Park, Yinjun project, Zhonghai Louden gardens projects. The students learnt the construction process and site security guidelines. They also learnt on-site work, the construction process of aluminum template, and communication with site engineers.

Students went to Guangdong Changda Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. During the internship, local students helped the foreign students by translating the Chinese into English for them.
In the first day, the students went to the lectures in the Chang Da training center. In the following few days, the students visited the Humen Bridge construction site. The Chief Engineer of the site gave brief introduction on the anchor other construction site facilities. The students had preliminary understanding on the construction of the bridge, different departments of the company and tender and construction processes of the roads and bridges.
