At 6:30P.M. on May,26th2017, an academic lecture given by Prof. LingHin Li from the University of Hong Kong hosted by Construction Management Society was successfully held in 201 conference hall of No.7 building. This time, we invited Prof. LingHin Li, who is the deputy dean of Faculty of Architecture and the deputy head of Department of Real Estate and Construction of the University of Hong Kong, to give the lecture. The theme of the lecture given by Prof. Li is about the relationship between the integrated development of Mixed-Income Community and harmonious society.

On the lecture, Prof. Li stated his points of view towards the elements of Mixed-Income Community. In his opinion, there are seven elements of Mixed-Income Community, that include the participation and cooperation of the authority and community residents, convenient transport networks for work, study, entertainment and contact, offering supports to the construction of social facilities, raising the awareness of environmental protection and increasing the opportunities for residents to share the social environment equally, pushing for the schedule of local economic tasks, catering to the natural environmental design, multiplication and optional housing market and encouraging more citizens to take part in the task. However, currently, the greatest problems obstructing the widespread of Mixed-Income Community are the problems in scale and design.
In the questions-raising sector, some audiences expressed their ideas on Mixed-Income Community and Prof. Li patiently exchanged his thoughts with them, which made all of us present feel content and inspired. Various thoughts and ideas mingles all together, which push the conference to another climax.
Finally, the academic lecture ended up with a wave of applause. We are looking forward to more wonderful lectures being held in SCUT and more teachers and students participating in them.
