From November 19th to 21st, 2023, the 2023 Forum of Young Scholars in the Field of Road/Aviation/Integrated Transportation was grandly held in Guangzhou. The theme of this forum is Strategic leadership, demand driven, disciplinary transformation, and talent building, aiming to respond to the development needs of the transportation and carrier engineering disciplines of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in the fields of road transportation, aviation transportation, and comprehensive transportation under the new situation, and promote the rapid growth of young scholars.
The forum is jointly guided by the Transportation and Transport Engineering discipline (E12) of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Highway Society, and the China Intelligent Transportation Association. It is jointly organized by Southeast University, South China University of Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the China Civil Aviation Flight Academy.

The opening ceremony of the forum was presided over by Yao Xiaohu, Dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation at South China University of Technology. Xu Xiangmin, Vice President of South China University of Technology, and Wu Bo attended the opening ceremony. Xu Xiangmin, Executive Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University Liu Pan, Vice President of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Song Yingdong, and Vice President of China Civil Aviation Flight Academy Tang Qingru delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

The keynote forum invited Wang Zhong, Director of the Transportation and Transport Engineering Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Yu Rongjie, Director of the Mobility Program of the Transportation and Transport Engineering Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Weng Mengyong, Chairman of the China Highway Society, Hao Yonggang, Deputy Secretary of the Control Center of the Central and Southern Air Administration of Civil Aviation, Liu Pan from Southeast University, Yu Bin from Beihang University, and Li Meng from Tsinghua University, Du Wenbo from Beihang University, Xu Zhigang from Chang'an University, Chen Jun from Southeast University, and Xiao Xuehua from Tongji University were invited to give special presentations.

This forum has received strong support from 104 sister universities and research institutes nationwide, with 581 registered attendees. The forum organized a total of 74 parallel forum reports and 28 poster reports, and invited 27 senior scholars and high-level talents in the field of transportation to provide feedback and guidance, in order to help young scholars select research topics, refine their achievements, and inquire about their development direction, and help them grow.
