In order to further strengthen academic exchanges in the field of transportation both domestically and internationally, and learn from cutting-edge research achievements, the Department of Transportation Engineering at South China University of Technology held the Overseas Transportation Academic Masters Forum on the afternoon of June 12, 2022. This forum specially invited Professor Wang Shuai'an from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Dong Jingxin from the University of Newcastle in the UK, and Professor Liu Ronghui from the University of Leeds to attend and share recent research results, chaired by Professor Wen Huiying.
On the afternoon of September 7th, the Transportation Engineering Party Branch of South China University of Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Transportation Engineering, organized a face-to-face activity for transportation teachers and students in the 2022 class, which included 8 party members and teacher representatives, as well as 120 students.

Teacher Wen Huiying, Secretary of the Party Branch, introduced the development prospects and directions of transportation related majors in combination with the construction goals of the Outline of Building a Strong Transportation Country and the Development Plan of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. He also provided a detailed introduction to the historical evolution of transportation related majors in schools, encouraging students to set great ambitions, read good books, and strive to become excellent transportation talents.
The Xuehai Leading the Way, Teachers Accompanying face-to-face activity between teachers and students is one of the party building activities of the Transportation Engineering Party Branch series and the practical activities of I Do Practical Things for Teachers and Students in party history learning and education. The aim is to help newly enrolled students adapt to university life as soon as possible and make good plans for university learning and career development, establish the connection between professional teachers and students in the first time, and guide the direction of students' subsequent growth. In the final interactive segment, the students actively asked questions, and the teachers answered each question seriously, allowing the students to have a better understanding of their profession and the new environment of Huagong.
