In 2009, the School has increased 20 research projects: 7 projects funded by the national Natural Science Foundation (including 2 projects by Tianyuan Foundation, 2 projects by the Young Foundation ), 4 projects funded by Ministries. Now, we are undertaking 25 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation.
In 2009, 207 papers have been published, of which 69 have been included in core journals, 15 have been included in Journals of Statistic Source, and 114 have been included in SCI, EI and ISTP. Six textbooks have been published. Eight projects have obtained patent-licensing.
In 2009, our young teachers obtained outstanding research results. Dr. Wen Dehua published a paper on Phys. Rev. Lett which is a top journal in Physics. An undergraduate student published a academic paper on Appl. Phys. Lett under the supervision of Dr. Zhu Rui. Dr. Hou Zhilin obtained the Guangdong Scientific and Technological Progress Award two second class as second finisher. And the preliminary establishment of High Pressure Science Laboratory which took charged by Prof. Chen Xiaojia was finished. Research of high pressure science will make our research to enter into a new level.
