    摘要:Optogenetics is revolutionizing the neuroscience field. Combining the cutting-edge optics and transgenic technologies, optogenetics has shown its great advantages, especially the biological specificity and operative feasibility, in the study of brain functions. The application of optogenetics in cochlea is among the most attractive topics in auditory neuroscience. My study attempts to understand the process of optogenetic activation of spiral ganglion neurons, aiming to 1) precisely control the excitation of spiral ganglion neurons; 2) develop new assessment approaches for testing the functional integration of regenerated auditory neurons; 3) examine the idea of a cochlear implant based on optogenetics. In my talk, I will briefly go through the progress in cochlear optogenetics, and present our most recent findings from a novel transgenic mouse model.

    报告人简介:孟现凯博士现在为哈佛大学医桃子汉化组移植游戏大全博士后研究员(Eaton-Peabody Laboratories, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary,Department of Otology and Laryngology, Harvard Medical School)。博士和本科分别毕业于中科院大学神经生物学专业和吉林大学通信工程专业。
