In the afternoon of December 11th, the School of Light Industry and Engineering held successfully a fire safety rehearsal of the second-half year of 2017, under the instructions of the staffs from Security Department. 73 postgraduates were participated in this fire safety training.
The officer of security department introduced firstly the knowledge of fire protection including the common reasons caused the fire accident, the correct method to deal with fire accident and so on. The officer also showed students some skills about fire protection and safety by practical demonstrations.
Furthermore, the officers introduced primarily how to use dry powder extinguisher to put out the fire and asked students to exercise. Three groups were made and exercised to put out the fire one by one using dry powder extinguisher until all participants have known how to use.
In our daily work, we should never be careless to fire safety. From this activity, our students have got improvements of their awareness about fire safety and fire protection which added an important defense for the safety of both life and costs of all people in our school.
