Recently, the Ministry of Education of China announced candidate list of "2017 ChangJiang Scholars Programme". In total, 6 people in our university are appointed as Changjiang Scholars. Professor Ren Junli from our school is awarded as Young Scholar in the Programme. The “ChangJiang Scholars Programme” is an important part of national great talent project. The young scholars programmer focuses on cultivating and introducing outstanding young academic leaders of colleges and universities in the world who have good reputation and innovative ability in academics, great potential for development, scrupulously abide academic ethics and teachers' professional ethics. Until now, there are totally 25 distinguished professors and 7 young scholars in our university.
Ren Junli, born in April 1978, professor of the School of Light Industry and Engineering of South China University of Technology, PhD tutor, holder of the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertations Award, the Guangdong Province Natural Science Outstanding Youth Fund, and the New Century Talent Program of the Ministry of education. The study fields of Prof. Ren are primarily the fundamental research about resource utilization of lignocellulosic biomass. More than 110 papers have been published in SCI with Google citation of over 2810 times, H –Index 30. Prof. Ren also has two ESI highly cited papers, one cover paper and three website reports. She has been awarded one first prize and one second prize of Nature Science from the Ministry of Education of China.
