报告人简介:

     

      Yiting Yu, now is a full professor of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and nanotechnology in the Department of Microsystems Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) of P. R. China. He received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering in 2003, 2006, and 2010, respectively. His main research interests are focused on the application-oriented basic research for micro-/nano-optical filtering and imaging. Up to now, Prof. Yu has published nearly 60 research papers, including the peer-reviewed journal papers in J. Microelectromech. Syst., J. Micromech. Microeng., Opt. Lett., Opt. Express, J. Lightwave Technol., Sci. Rep, etc. In recent years, he has been honored as the Humboldt Scholar (2010), the MOE Top100 Ph.D. dissertations (2012), the MOE New Century Excellent Talents in University (2013), the New Star of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province (2014), and the Excellent Youth Scholars of NSF in China (2016).


报告摘要:

    

      Optical imaging technologies show widespread applications in various fields, e.g. life science, consumer electronics, industry monitoring, remote sensing, to just name a few. As the important payloads, the optical imaging systems need to meet some harsh requirements for potential applications in aeronautics and astronautics, e.g. small volume, light weight, and high integration. With the development of micro-/nano-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS) technology, it is now possible to realize the imaging system on a single chip. In this speech, I will give an overview and present the recent progress of our research, focusing on the spectral imaging. The planar lenses, optical filtering chips, as well as the so-developed spectral imaging systems, will be covered.
