Jiang Guigen, the 2007 MPA Education graduated student of SCUT, got the fourth national MPA best paper award. This is the first time for the students in South China University of technology to have such prize.
It is reported that the Committee of MPA Education submitted 157 papers in total with 100 schools participated, since the commencing of best thesis selecting activity in last December. SCUT recommended two papers in the selection. According to ‘The Selection Criteria for best paper’, the National and Instruction Committee hires the experts, as well as implements anonymous review, expert review and public announcement. Finally, six best papers were selected, which belong to South China University of Technology, Renmin University of China, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Liaoning University and Dalian University of Technology respectively.
Jiang Guigen’s paper titled ‘A Study on Governmental Supervision for the Pork Quality Security in the Circulation Area in Guangzhou’, whose research object focuses on the governmental supervisory regulations for pork quality safety in the circulation area in Guangzhou. It first analyzes the severe situation concerning the pork quality safety supervision in the circulation area in Guangzhou, and then explores the main problems existed in pork quality safety supervision. The paper uses the comparative research method to study the pork quality safety supervision in developed countries.
According to the introduction from Prof. Wu KeChang, who is the dean of School of Public Administration, MPA program was set up in South China University of Technology 8 years ago.
