On Tuesday Morning, 29 November, Professor Mok Ka-Ho, the Executive Vice President of Lingnan University led the delegation from the university visited School of Public Administration of Southern China University of Technology (SPA-SCUT) to discuss collaboration programs. They met with the Dean of SPA,Professor Wu Kechang, as well as the Chair of School Committee, CCP, Professor Wu Zhi,.
Firstly, Professor Wu Kechang, the Dean of SPA, started with a welcome speech, introducing the establishment history of SPA to the guests and then reviewing the substantive improvements in terms of exchanging with universities from Hong Kong in recent years. He addressed that the relationship between mainland and Hong Kong has been strengthened continually since the cooperation was set and he hoped that the partnership can be further strengthened by contributing to academic and talents exchange in the future. Professor Mok agreed that both could promote cultural communication jointly and keep close collaboration, working together to make Chinese culture be understood and accepted. In the end, both sides reached a tentative agreement on a series of programs, including 2+2 program, bachelor- master combined program, joint PHD training program and so forth.
Finally, on behalf of each part, Dean Wu Kechang and Executive Vice President Mok Ka-Ho exchanged souvenirs.
Afterwards, Professor Mok introduced the international development of tertiary education in Hong Kong and its affirmation system and gave lectures on the related program of Lingnan University to students from SCUT.
