On January 21st, a delegation consisted of 18 teachers and researchers from School of Public Administration at the South University of Technology (SPA-SCUT), went on a visit to Hong Kong for attending a academic training programme organized by the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) . According to series of cooperative agreements signed by SCUT and EdUHK, the EdUHK organizes a 6-day training programme to academic staffs of SPA-SCUT in the first week of winter holiday, for the purpose of improving participants’ professional teaching and research capacity, and deepening the educational cooperation and exchange between the two universities.
At the opening ceremony, the Vice President of EdUHK, Prof. LUI Tai Lok expressed warm welcome to the participants and made a keynote speech on higher education system and development prospects of Hong Kong. After that, the delegation from SCUT-SPA visited the Hong Kong Center for Integrated Education Guidance and Development, the Hong Kong Education Museum and the Hong Kong Financial Management Bureau etc., for the better understanding of the education background and social reality of Hong Kong. The follow-up study plan also includes lectures, panel discussion, and presentation in relation to the topic of teaching methods developing, education technology training and international academic journal publication.
