On December 28th, 2021, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education announced the results of the 2021 major research projects in philosophy and social sciences. The chief expert Professor Wen Hong from SPA-SCUT, submitted a bid for Urban Governance Research under the Background of Major Public Health Emergencies, and the project was approved and support.
The project will promote the modernization of public health security governance system and governance capacity of cities with Chinese characteristics in the new era, reveal the impact and challenge of major public health emergencies on urban governance and their internal mechanism, and construct the theoretical system of major public health risks of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. It is of great theoretical and practical significance to optimize the mode and system of preventing and resolving major public health emergencies in cities.
