On December 30th, 2021, the 95th SPA Academic Workshop was successfully held in Room 105, Building 5. This academic workshop was delivered by Professor Mi Yunsheng, the professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Economics and Management, South China Agricultural University. Professor Mi Yunsheng made a speech entitled “Improving land management laws and regulations to promote the effective rural land collective ownership.The lecture was presided over by Professor Zhu Yizhong from the SPA. Teachers and students from the school attended the lecture.
In the lecture, Professor Mi Yunsheng interpreted the reform of collective ownership of agricultural land from the perspective of functionalism. First, he emphasized the importance of continuing the rural collective land reform through relevant examples. Subsequently, Professor Mi sorted out relevant researches, and introduced the functions of collective ownership system of agricultural land, including basic concepts and some misunderstandings. Finally, Professor Mi introduced the reform ideas and key contents, and proposed that in the new era, we should promote the system of collective ownership of agricultural land to return to its essence according to the rural revitalization strategy's appeal to the system function.
During the Q&A session, the audience expressed their opinions and launched a heated discussion on the issues. The lecture inspired audience to ponder collective ownership of rural land, and further broadened their academic horizon.
